DR JAMES PRICE MBBS FRACS FAOA Dr James Price is a Queensland trained Orthopaedic surgeon. His field of interests cover hips, knees, hands, ankles and feet. He arrived in Townsville in 2000 as the Director of Orthopaedics at The Townsville Hospital, before commencing his private practice in 2001. He has conducted research in conjunction with the James Cook University, and is actively involved in the training of medical students. His consulting rooms are at Park Street Medical Suites, Suite 3, 62 Park Street, Pimlico, beside the Mater Hospital. He operates at the Mater Hospital , Pimlico, and also at Townsville Day Surgery, The Lakes. |

MRS DEBORAH O’KANE BPhty MPAS Physician’s Assistant and Physiotherapist Deborah is a physiotherapist that graduated from University of Queensland in 1992. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries and prior to coming to the practice was the senior physiotherapist of the outpatient services at Townsville Hospital. Deborah joined our practice in August 2011 following completion of a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies through University of Queensland. Member of Australian Physiotherapy Association, Australian Society of Physician Assistants and associate member of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. She assists Dr Price with triaging of patient’s referrals, obtaining clinical histories and relevant physical examinations and liaising with other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Part of that role includes providing pre operative education and support to patients and their families during the rehabilitative phase. She is always happy to answer any clinical questions you may have. |
